Q. How much does it all cost?
A. This varies greatly depending on a number of factors. If a
piece needs
extra preparation this will incur an extra charge for instance.
Q. Can you tell me the turnaround time?
A. We aim to return your item(s) within a 7 day period. For large and
intricate items that need extra preparation this can be extended to 21
days. 'Off site' work is generally completed the same day.
Q. What carat Gold do you use?
A. We use genuine 24k gold but we can also plate 18, 14, 9, antique &
rose gold too. We also use the finest silver plate available on the market
today.
Q. Is there a minimum charge?
A. Yes, we have a £25 minimum charge.
Q. Is the gold plating long lasting?
A. The plating should last many years. It has been formulated over an 11
year period to produce consistent, hard wearing and a very durable finish.
Items that are going to regularly polished will have a shorter ‘life’
though.
Q. How thick is the gold?
A. The gold is always applied to create the best finish possible. In some
cases it may take a number of coats to attain the best result, dependant
on the item we are working on. The finish will last for a long time and if
its looked after well, will never peel or ‘delaminate’.
