turbo engine with ERL electronic water injection and variable boost
control, full Koni suspension dampers and springs, strut brace,
Wolfrace wheels and Dunlop D4 185x50-14. tyres, tinted windows,
discs all round, R/cassette, sunroof, completely de-badged. What a
car! THE most powerful thing I’ve had to date. Out handled and
performed most cars on the road and had fantastic low down torque
which gave it great overtaking performance.
Joined the 96 Club for ‘88’
(£100 pa then) and surprised quite a few cars on the various tracks
we visited especially Porsche Carreras’ at Silverstone Club
circuit! Orice saw 136 mph on the clock while racing a Sierra 4x4i.
Had to have a new factory engine when the 1st one blew up. Also two
gearbox rebuilds. It was a real pain having to take all the water
injection gear off when I had two accidents though (1 my fault).
..so the assessor didn’t see it.
