Fully documented history in presentation file with
all bills recorded, 4 new wings fitted, electronic ignition, engine
compartment fully repainted to show standard - boot rack, new hood
and trim etc., £2200 had been spent when bought, I rebuilt the
engine including gas flowed , ported
and polished head (Vulcan Eng), new oil pump, cam, timing chain, 2O
thou engine bore, new clutch - SAH six branch manifold and free flow
exhaust system (155 BHP).
I recall coming into Chatton Close completely sideways on one
occasion while demonstrating to a terrified passenger the new found
power! Body was resprayed in various places and the engine
compartment won me a concourse award at a TR owners club
event that year (1985). Excellent car but I learned what to look out
for when buying TR6’s in the future! Fantastic car which perhaps I should have kept.
