Bought
the car because of the condition of the bodywork arid history it
had, The engine was a little worn when I took it out but was
reconditioned with a reground crank, Road ‘83’ camshaft modified
head and Peco free-flow exhaust.
Lowered suspension and a fistful of bills later we sold it for the
equivalent of £1100. The car had been
resprayed in Ermine White and I decided that I would keep that
colour as the original Glacier White was a little too blue for my
liking. so, was subject of a full bare metal respray and lots of time and effort.
Compiled a neat folder listing year by year the bills and receipts
kept by previous owners. The car came with tonneau and hood cover
(the hood was in good condition) and a boot rack. All in all a good
little car which went very well after initial teething problems were
sorted out
Saw us round Europe twice - followed the
Pirelli Classic Marathon which was memorable - met Stirling Moss and
Roger Clark. Good little car - god knows how we used to get all the
camping gear etc in the boot!
